TableBot Challenge
Your task is to build and program a robot which can maintain randomized movement on table until your robot has detected the edge of the table 20 times. While in motion, the robot must autonomously ensure that it does not fall of the table.
Parts Available:
Sensors - only sound and touch (up to 2 touch sensors)
All other parts in your kit (excluding sensors)
1. Construct a robot using your touch sensors that will not fall of of the table
Program Specification:
1. Program must start with sound louder than 80db.
2. Robot must start moving in forward direction
3. Minimum speed of robot at all times is 50%
- you can add to the program by randomly calculating your speed (do this last)
4. After detecting edge of table
- robot is allowed to back away from the edge (random amount)
- robot must then randomly calculate
- direction turn
- this will make your robot turn left and right at random
- you may add to the program to make this more precise i.e. guaranteeing a full proper point turn
- robot must then randomly calculate
- duration of turn - range (at least 90 to 270 degrees)
- you will have to calculate the degrees of rotation for your robot.
5. Robot must turn off autonomously after detecting the edge of the table 15 times
- as the program runs the robot must display on screen the number of times it has detected the edge of the table
